Just watched my literature Video: Life is Beautiful. There were 12 parts to it. Its about this Man's life, before and during th world war II. If you had planned to watch it, lemme totally spoil the show for you. :D

This dude came to...i don't know where, really. He was a jew with some really long name. This lady fell from some farm-like place, and fell off him. Love at first sight. Then, one day while he was cycling, he fell onto her, again. And man was he some funny dude. He had issues with hats and stuff. It was really really funny.

That lady, called Dora, she was Italian. And the Dude, we'll just name him ''the dude''. HEHE. okay, anwhoots, The dude tried to find means and ways to meet her. Then, he bacame his uncle's waiter. One day, he had to be a waiter for some function, where she was attending. F.Y.I, she was some friggin rich kid yo. There, this other guy had planned to marry her, and announced their marriage, but no, that wasn't what she wanted. The dude, while Dora was having her meal, dropped something under her table( it was those really long tables). When he went to clear his mess under the table, Dora went under and told him to take her away.

They soon had a child called Joshua. The dude owned this bookstore, and one day, left Joshua ( who was prob'ly 5?) in charge of it cause he had to go for something, i can't remember. A lady stepped in and gave little Joshua a note to pass to his Momma, and asked Joshua if he knew his Grandmama. No, as she had never visited them before. But She was to visit them on Joshua's birthday.

That day came, and Dora went out to get her mum, with tables laid, and decorations up. When she came back, boy was the house in literal ruins. Tables overturned and everyone was gone. She knew then, what had happened.

She cabbed off, to where she knew they were, and told the soldier that she wanted to go on th train, where the dude and joshua were, all for the sake of love. Reluctant, the soldier finally let her in. Whilst on the journey, Joshua wanted to know what was going on. The dude told him that this was his birthday present. They were going on a game, and as Joshua loved trucks, Dude knew how to play around with this nightmare. He made it seem as a surprise for little Joshua.

''If you win this game, you'll need to be the first to get a thousand points. And then, you'll get a truck!''
''but i already have one''
''No, not that sort. The one i'm talking about, are those Big REAL trucks''
''NO WAY!''
'' Yeah, thats why i didn't want to tell you the big surprise.''

So they went through the concentration camp. The kids played, just played. The dude worked his guts out, and told Joshua every night, after his hard day's work, how many points they've earned. He even saved his food for Joshua. And who'd know, Joshua's stubborness saved him.

The soldiers told the elderly and the jewish children that they were going to have a bath. Joshua, hating baths, managed to run away, and he found his dad. His dad told him to hide, until his dad was done. That day, all the elderly and kids, all except joshua died. Gas chamber. Since then, Joshua was told to hide on the top bunk, and to lay low whenever anyone stepped in. They would gain points that way.

On one occasion, Joshua told his dad that he wanted to stop playing the game and go home. " But its raining outside. You'll get a fever of a hundred and ten'' . Joshua didnt' care. He wanted to go home. '' Fine,'' Dude said. So he took whatever they had. While he was taking these things, he told his bunk mates, what a pity it was, as he and Joshua were leading in the game, and they would soon receive their tank. But he continued to pack anyway. And when he was done and heading out the door, Joshua didn't budge. '' But i'd get a fever of a hundred and ten''. So they stayed.

During a medical checkup, It so happened that the dude knew the doctor. He used to be a regular customer at a restaurant which he served in. And they used to be quite close too. But he had to leave somewhere, and just before he left, he gave the dude a riddle. On that medical checkup, He recited the riddle to the doctor. When he recognized the dude, the doctor made the dude work as a waiter instead of a labourer.

Then one night, the concentration camp was in literal chaos. The Nazis seemed to be killing , and moving people everywhere. The dude thought this as a chance to go visit his wife. But he wasn't going to be able to do so with little Joshua tagging along. He ran out of the room, and hid in a corner with little Joshua. THere, he told Joshua to go hide in a little metal post box like thing, where some German kids used to be playing. Joshua was not to move or make a sound until he returned. He left for a while and went to see what the ladies were up to.

Looking at the way they dressed, he quickly ran back to Joshua, whom he had initially left a blanket and jacket with. As Joshua wasn't feeling cold, he took the sweater and blanket. Then , knowing the chances of survival, he told Joshua to stay put and not make a sound until no one was left, and everything is gone. Then, using th sweater as a bandana and the blanket as a skirt, he watched from a corner first, how his kid was doing. Then he left to find the ladies.

Asking around for any Dora, no one seemed to know. The ladies left in their trucks, and his search for his long lost love was to no avail. Still in the ladie's dressing, he left, dismayed. But he was caught by the lay in charge. He ran away from a male chaser, ran up the wall and stuck to the wall, hiding. But the moving spotlights found him, and so did the chaser. As he was about to pull the trigger, the chaser found he was looking at someone more like a man than a woman. That made him hold his breath for a split second. Then an officer came and told him something, and they moved.

They managed to pass by where little Joshua was hiding. Knowing that Joshua was looking his way, the dude did his usual goofy actions to make the innocent child living in his game world giggle. The dude looked one last time, into the eyes of his child who was peeping through the hole, and whose eyes followed him as far as it could go. As he made the turn in, he looked again at the side of the post box. He knew what was to happen. The soldier brought him to a corner. A gunshot fired. The ruthless soldier came out. Alone.

Everything ended, and everyone left. Seeing nothing before him, as far as his eyes could go, Joshua opened up the letter box and stood, looking all around him. How to move on from there, Where to go, he didn't know. A sound rumbled from the turning corner, and a tank emerged from it. Little Joshua wow-ed at that sight. " WOW! ITS TRUE! I'VE REALLY WON THE GAME!'' He stood in awe as the tank neared him, and it stopped right in front. Some guy popped up from on top of the tank, and got Joshua to come up. Joshua climbed up, in awe.

The tank drove through crowds of a hundred cheering people, and the American flag flew high. The prisoners and captive Jews were all set free. From up above, Joshua looked down below. The next thing he knew, He was shouting ''MOMMY" repeatedly. How long had he been waiting. The American soldier carried Joshua down as he ran and jumped inti heis weary and tired mother, who was wondering if they had survived. Thats how the story ended.

And yeah, these are mainly what happend during the concentration camp. The first part's pretty funny, And the part in which they were in the camps was super touching, how the dude found means and ways to let Dora know he was still alive and thinking of her. So close and yet so far huh? Really sad story D; , But a
