church's sermon and worship today spoke to me quite a heap. When we sang Everlasting God, It comforted me so much, and i don't even know why. Maybe cause i've been really tired lately, and certain stuff has been bothering me. it was a comfort anyway. I love my God.

Teresa Wilbourne was our speaker today. Touched on the topic of The Practice of Prayer. & i guess it impacted me pretty much, esp since i've been backsliding so darn much. She told us about Saint Teresa Of Avila, and her perceptions of prayer. You don't have to continue reading if you think this is boring.

Teresa of Avila was stricken with malaria and spent 3 years bedridden. During her time,i think the people prayed out loud or kneeling or something like that. I didn' recall the details. So yeah, everytime she prayed, she felt more and more distracted.

She hardly ever prayed, until the age of 41, when a priest taught her mental prayer- Praying in your head, not out loud. She then found it very good, and commited to it.

Teresa of Avila percepted prayer as :
-A search for God
- Spending time with God.
-Seeing God present within yourself, listening.

The power of prayer is what God does withinyou during the prayer, like how he touches you or moves you. Its like, the longer you sit beside the fire, or the closer you get to it, the warmer you feel. The closer you get to God, the more you love him. Prayer is about loving, not thinking. The amount of time you spend with God is important. Quality time, thats how you love God more.

And its in time of dryness , emptiness and nothingness when we have to hold onto, and cling onto God. Because its in these tough times where God can show himself and fill us. Where his works can be seen in us. The more we love God, the more we are willing to surrender.

I bought 3 leggings, 2 Korean dramas, of which, one was rec. by MT, and i saw a squashed Chameleon at the carpark in church. Its insides were all.... out. I'm lazy to upload the picture of it. another day i hope. Daniel loves disturbing Fay. haha. And daddy bought Daniel a GPS so he wont get lost while driving. Although i think it suits mummy more. We can get lost for an hour. T.T
